This is the goal of the latest survey conducted by <a href=\"https:\/\/prepsoil.eu\/\">PREPSOIL<\/a>, the project, funded by the program Horizon Europe under the EU Mission &#8220;A Soil Deal for Europe&#8221; involving <strong>20 partners including Re Soil Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative targets multiple professionals, including consultants, farmers, urban planners, park managers, authorities and NGO workers, in <strong>seven nations<\/strong>: Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Spain and France.<\/p>\n<div class='avia-iframe-wrap'>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"y6umi0lPWD\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/resoilfoundation.org\/en\/articles\/land-take-europe-survey\/\">Europe has lost 3,600 km2 of soil due to land take in seven years<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Europe has lost 3,600 km2 of soil due to land take in seven years&#8221; &#8212; Re Soil Foundation\" src=\"https:\/\/resoilfoundation.org\/en\/articles\/land-take-europe-survey\/embed\/#?secret=YhRsc513YZ#?secret=y6umi0lPWD\" data-secret=\"y6umi0lPWD\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h5>Ideas are born among stakeholders<\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;The surveys aim to gain insight about local stakeholders\u2019 prior knowledge, how the notion of soil health is manifested in their work and how they gain new knowledge about the subject,&#8221; says a <a href=\"https:\/\/prepsoil.eu\/news\/survey-help-prepsoil-partners-learn-more-about-soil-health-knowledge-your-country\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> by PREPSOIL. &#8220;TThis is important because Advisors are often seen as <strong>important mediators for change<\/strong> towards a more sustainable agriculture at farm level.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hence the need to assess knowledge on the subject and awareness of the importance of soil health among stakeholders working at local or regional level. Including farmers. &#8220;In many parts of the world,&#8221; PREPSOIL says, &#8220;farmers have been working with improving soil health at farm level<strong> long before the ideas reached<\/strong> the political as well as the advisory system.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class='avia-iframe-wrap'>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"7pEmGXKEsZ\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/resoilfoundation.org\/en\/articles\/bioeconomy-health-soil-europe\/\">The bioeconomy can save soil health. These professionals themselves, however, have not yet developed an &#8220;established way&#8221; of working on this issue. It is also for this reason that PREPSOIL decided to start its survey.<\/p>\n<p>The study, in particular, consists of three different surveys in relation to <strong>three different land uses<\/strong>. By following its dedicated link, those who work with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netigate.se\/ra\/s.aspx?s=1168511X414400756X47812\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agricultural soils<\/a> or are involved in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netigate.se\/ra\/s.aspx?s=1161014X414401599X46470\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">forestry<\/a> or are engaged in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netigate.se\/ra\/s.aspx?s=1160940X414404024X83063\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">urban soil<\/a> management can access the survey on their country&#8217;s own page. However, lack of knowledge and awareness continues to be a major critical factor.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This is why <strong>raising awareness and promoting knowledge dissemination<\/strong> is considered a key approach to the success of the Mission.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In line with these expectations, PREPSOIL wants to provide assessments and efforts to <strong>improve the knowledge baseline<\/strong> by working together with innovation centers such as <a href=\"https:\/\/prepsoil.eu\/living-labs-and-lighthouses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Living Labs and LightHouse Farms<\/a>. The goal is to reach a broad audience that includes universities, citizens, students, teachers, land monitoring agencies and the society as a
