She is currently a Research Director at the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection (CNR-IPSP), where she has been working since 2001. In 1995, she graduated with honors in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Naples Federico II and subsequently earned a PhD in Plant Pathology, as well as a specialization in Phytopathology.  Her research focuses on developing biological control methods for plant diseases, with a particular emphasis on the use of the Trichoderma genus for plant protection. In recent years, her scientific interest has expanded to include the study of soil microbiomes, aiming to analyze fluctuations in biological fertility. Dr. Ruocco leads numerous national and international research projects, significantly contributing to European funding programs such as FP7, H2020, and HORIZON. Through her work, she has established important collaborations with international scientific institutions and participated in innovative projects, including the characterization of volatilomes in plant-microorganism interactions.  Throughout her career, Ruocco has presented her research findings at global scientific conferences and published in international journals. She has also taken on university teaching and supervisory roles for doctoral students and undergraduates. In her professional capacity, she has held key organizational roles, such as overseeing the IPSP secondary location in Portici and managing projects within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR)."}
