Received his PhD in Agricultural, Forestry, and Food Sciences at the University of Torino in 2012. Actively collaborates with the Interdepartmental Centre AGROINNOVA in research activities, technology transfer and in coordinating R&D projects. Helping editor of the Italian Journal “Protezione delle Colture”, in 2009 founded the ex-academic spin-off company “AgriNewTech srl”. Scientific responsible of national and EU projects in the field of sustainable crop protection, bioeconomy and soil and plant health, he carries out research on: valorisation of biowastes and byproducts for controlling plant diseases; soil and substrate suppressiveness to plant pathogens; use of biofertilizers and suppressive compost against plant pathogens and their impact on soil microbial communities; modes of action and efficacy of biological control agents and plant protection products; biological control of diseases in horticulture; effect of climate changes on plant heath.
